Faculty Externships

Educators from health career academies and pathways programs are working with healthcare industry partners, visiting hospitals, physician offices and clinics, gaining knowledge about how the healthcare business works, what types of jobs their students might have and what’s new in healthcare technology.

Externships are being developed for faculty in Arts Media & Entertainment and Advanced Technology, as well.

Career Academies and the High School Master Schedule

In this workshop you will learn the “whys” and “hows” of creating a master schedule that supports academies, ensures student cohorts, and provides common planning time for teachers. Click here to download the registration form.

Ford PAS/NGL (Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies/Next Generation Learning)

The Coachella Valley has been designated a Next Generation Learning community and one of two Ford PAS/NGL Hubs in the state of California.

Throughout the year, professional development is offered to support teachers using the Ford PAS curriculum. These programs are offered in the Coachella Valley, as well as through the Ford Motor Company Fund at their home offices in Dearborn, Michigan and at other partner venues across the country.
